Ingredients
- 1 lbtofu, cut into small cubes
Deep Frying
- ⅓ cupcornstarch
- ⅓ cupflour
- oil for deep frying
- salt to taste
Sauce
- 1 cupdashi
- 2 tbspmirin
- 2 tbspsoy sauce
Garnish
- katsuobushi
- green onion
Instructions

Mix dashi, soy sauce, and mirin in a saucepan. Heat gently — do not boil.

Heat oil to 350°F.

Pat tofu dry and season with salt. Mix cornstarch and flour, then coat tofu in the mixture.

Deep fry tofu until golden brown.

Place in bowls, pour sauce over, and top with katsuobushi and green onions.
