Ingredients

- 1 tbspcloves
- 5star anise
- 2 tbspfennel seed
- 2cinnamon sticks
- 2bay leaves
- 10 gtea leaves
- 50 grock sugar
- 3 tbsplight soy sauce
- 3 tbspdark soy sauce
Instructions

Boil eggs for 6 minutes. Cool and gently crack the shells all over without peeling.

Add soy sauces, spices, tea leaves, and rock sugar to a pot of water. Bring to a simmer.

Add cracked eggs and simmer for 90 minutes.

Cool for at least 3 hours, or up to a day — the longer they sit, the more marbled they become.
